
Geographical situation: The Republic of Bolivia is located in the heart of South America . To the north and northeast with Brazil, to the northwest with Peru, to the southeast with Paraguay, to the south with the Argentina and to the west and Southwest with Chile.
Extension Area: 1,098,581 km2
Geographical elevations: The highest 7,014 m. (Potosí) and the lowest 30 m. (Beni).
Climate: The Bolivian territory has a variety of climates according to the geographical region. In the low land plains it is warm and humid with average temperatures of 25° C (77° F) and heights that oscillate between the 200 and 400 m/osl, in the valleys, mild and dry climate with average temperatures of 15C° (50° F) altitudes from 1000 to 3000 m/osl. The highlands with average temperatures of 10° C (40° F) and an altitude average of 3500 m/osl. 65% of the territory is low land plains, 15% valleys and 20% highlands.
