Amazon Basin
Pampas-Jungle

Only one hour flight from La Paz, and you will be at the centre of the Amazon basin, hot ,humid and ticking all over with wild life, more like an open zoo, where you will encounter many different kinds of birds, animals, plants, and the amazing thing that you will appreciate, is that you will have the Pampas and the Jungle (Madidi Park) next to each other, both different environments, you can visit both in 5 days, recommended, or just choose one or the other, but for Pampas you need a minimum of 3 days. An example of the fauna that you will encounter:

- Birds (batos, flamingos)
- Capivaras
- Anacondas
- Turtles
- Monkeys
- Piranhas
- Pink Dolphins( you may swim with them!)
- Crocodriles

Best time to visit: April to December, other times possible with some restrictions, mostly due to weather conditions.

What to bring:

• Long sleeves shirts, preferably light colours
• Good trekking shoes
• Swimming wear
• Sun Tan block creams
• Sun Glasses
• Sleeping bags
• Mosquito repellents
• Hats
• Lots of film
